To reduce the likelihood of Cudo Miner being flagged as a false positive by antivirus applications all miner executables are downloaded on first open.
If you still get a warning message from Windows Defender or other AV software or see an error in Cudo Console saying ‘Miner executable was not found’, please whitelist the following directory:
Windows: C:\ProgramData\Cudo Miner\registry
Linux: /var/lib/cudo-miner/registry
macOS: /var/lib/cudo-miner/registry
For users with Windows Defender, the User Access Control (UAC) box will pop up with a message saying ‘Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer.’ When prompted with this message, please press yes. This will allow Cudo Miner to run.
